Why open Telegram Web instead of installing?
The browser build is ideal when you cannot or do not want to install anything - a shared university PC, a Chromebook that blocks executables, a stopover on a friend's Mac. It is also a great secondary session that leaves no local trace once you log out.
Nothing to install
The web app runs entirely in your browser tab, so it works on lab computers, Chromebooks, Linux distros or any device without admin rights.
QR code sign-in
Scan the code shown in the browser with your phone camera to log in without typing a password. Faster than SMS on a shared PC.
Keyboard-first UI
Web K especially is tuned for keyboard navigation - jump to chats with Ctrl+K, mark unread with Ctrl+U, archive with Ctrl+Shift+E.
Two layouts to choose
Web A is closer to the mobile design and supports voice chats; Web K is optimised for large chat lists and power users.
How to open Telegram Web in four steps
Step 1
Click Open Web
The button below routes through our verified redirect and lands you on the official Telegram Web sign-in page in a new tab.
Step 2
Scan the QR code
Open Telegram on your phone > Settings > Devices > Link Desktop Device, then point your camera at the QR code shown on screen.
Step 3

Step 4

Right-click the browser tab and pick Pin so Telegram Web stays available with a compact icon whenever you launch the browser.
Telegram Web A vs Web K - which layout should you pick?
Both clients speak the same protocol. Web A leans closer to the mobile UI, supports voice chats and animated backgrounds. Web K focuses on speed, keyboard shortcuts and dense chat lists - the choice power users tend to prefer.
Safety tips for shared browsers
- Always sign in via QR code - never share your login code.
- Use a private / incognito window when possible.
- Log out from the browser and revoke the session on your phone under Settings > Devices when you are done.
- Enable two-step verification so a phone number alone cannot claim the account.
